Construite en 1930 par le chantier Plaquet, en Belgique, la péniche a été aménagée entre 1983 et 1986 en respectant son caractère d'origine.
Très bien entretenue et en excellent état, elle offre aujourd'hui une surface habitable de 100 m2 divisée en un appartement de grand confort
et le superbe logement indépendant du marinier.
Décoré de ses bois précieux d'origine, sculptés à la main, avec vitres et miroirs biseautés, le logement du marinier a été restauré en
respectant son authenticité. Il est composé d'un salon avec coin cuisine bien équipé, d'une cabine dans les mêmes bois et d'une douche.
This luxuriously converted barge is currently located on the Canal du Midi, in the Aude department, It is fully autonomous and in full
navigating condition and its size gives it cruising access to all the canals and waterways of Europe.
The barge was built in 1930 by the Plaquet's shipyard in Belgium. It has been converted into a dwelling between 1983 and 1986, with respect
for its genuine character. Since then, it has been very well maintained and offers now 100 sq. mt. (1 070 sq. ft.) of living space in perfect
condition, including a comfortable apartment and the superb independent bargee's accommodation.
The renovation of the bargee's accommodation has preserved its genuineness: it is decorated with its original hardwood panelling with
hand-carved sculpting and its bevelled glass and mirrors. It features a living room with a small open kitchen, a bedroom and a shower room
